Hi, I'm Guoxiang! I am a designer with a passion for experimental design to sparks a conversation about the limitless possibilities of the digital realm. With a specialisation in communication design, I navigate the realms of typography, user interaction and motion design . "Beyond the Silence" is a multifaceted project entered on an art installation that encourage reflection on plant blindness. Supported by a speculative 3D video and AR interactive publications, it revealed the consequences of humanity's detachment from the natural world.
"Beyond the Silence" HCI Installation
When plants can communicate audibly, human's empathy increases. This work amplifies the neglect of plants through physical interaction. It invited audience to rethink their relationship with plants, aiming to provoke reflection on their behaviour towards nature.
'"Beyond the Silence" Speculative Video'
This 1-minute video serves as a bridge between physical art installations and the digital world. The videos will present the results of my DRK and describe a future garden after years of plant blindness: offence, defence and retreat.
The AR Tickets, as a component of the project, offer the audience an augmented reality experience to immerse into a future garden. Users can activate the experience by scanning the QR code (Using “Adobe Aero” App) present on each ticket.

FindMyDR is a mobile application built on AR glasses that provides a function of searching and booking available discussion rooms, and navigating the users to their destination. Augmented reality experience provides a greater spatial awareness, which can help the users understand their surroundings better and navigate more effectively.
"Easy Speak"
This project created a low-cost, adaptable, intuitive, and user-friendly Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ACC) smart home device. It is designed to help individuals with autism communicate effectively with family members, visiting friends, tutors and counselors both face-to-face and online, based on home scenarios.
This device aims to provide a seamless, intuitive communication experience that is tailored to the individual needs and emotional state of the autistic user.
