Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2023

Hi my name is Luca, I am a communication design and business student with a passion for capturing illustration and photography. I am interested in capturing the essence of human emotion and desires. I recently studied at Monash Prato centre in Italy and my experiences there have inspired my most recent design proposals, such as ‘Time to smell the roses’ a videographic exploration of human connection to nature.

Time to smell the roses

Time to smell the roses is a short 5 minute film about the survival of our connection to nature. It is about the ways people connect with nature, whether it be swimming at the beach or hiking up a mountain or having a picnic in the park. There are so many distractions in modern life, that take us away from experiencing the beauty that nature has to offer and this video is a reminder to appreciate nature.

I can still hear my memories

I can still hear my memories is a design publication about my time studying abroad in Italy. It is about reliving memories through songs, songs for me have always been a way for me to come back to memories. While in Italy, I listened to lots of different artists and this publication is a compilation of that expressed through lyrics and watercolours.
