Activation - Sustainable Fashion

For this project we were asked to find a social issue and create a project or event to combat these issues. I chose waste within the fashion industry. I began with interviewing individuals of all different aspects of life and seeing how much they spend on clothing each year in addition to how much wastage they are participating in each year. After this research I decided to create a trade, repair and reuse workshop that aims to reduce the amount of wastage in fashion. The initiative uses tokens to trade clothing items as well as having workshops to help educate people to recycle clothing and extend their shelf life within peoples wardrobes. It is a pop up shop that circles around the country

Non-Profit - Rebrand (World Literacy Foundation)

For this project we selected a random non-profit foundation that we were asked to rebrand. I had the World Literacy Foundation. I took the inspiration from the original logo and branding however wanted to make it more sophisticated and modern. The aim was to change the colour palette and graphics without completely ruining the original branding. I changed the palette to be more organic and have graphics related to the topic that can be used across more branding platforms than the original logo. I stuck with the green theme and changing the type to be more playful to relate to the topic.

Identity: Meatly

This project was based around creating a brand identity for a project given to us. This project was a meat brand that was made with artificial meat using scientific practices of cells. I wanted to create a sophisticated brand that was appealing to customers yet also created mystery and interest as it is a new product. I took inspiration from the brand using cells and the natural aspect of it to create the logo while adding in navy to make it more of a sophisticated logo. This was a tough project but ultimately developed a design that encompassed all the features needed to represent the brand.

Road Safety - Crash Severity

These posters were designed for a convention that displayed statistics based around road safety. My project was based around crash severity. I focussed my project around the lights of cars and speed when driving. The lines represent the car lights similarly to when driving along a freeway and lines that are created. I stuck with colours of the break lights with the bold red and orange contrasted against a black background.

Melbourne Cinémathèque

This project was structured around the Melbourne Cinémathèque identity for the 2024 screenings. I took inspiration from the lights of the film cameras and the pixels that create the films. I wanted to use bold ad bright colours to draw in attention to the posters. For the screenings I stuck with the same cover as the A1 posters and then changed the screens for the alternative seasons with different colours. In addition to the added colour I created filters for the screenings snapshots that contrasted against the highlighted colours.

Observation - Armadale

This project was based around photography and the observation of a certain suburb. I chose Armadale and focused on then housing around the area. I wanted to create a coffee table book that would look nice as decoration and took inspiration from the Jacquemus coffee table book. With large full-page images, I focused on colour throughout the neighbourhood ad the colour theory. I researched the effect colours have on people and added this into the book in addition to full page images of zoomed in architecture.
