Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2023

I’m Regina, a Melbourne-based communication design graduate with a particular interest in brand identity, print and editorial design. In my work, I enjoy ‘saying more with less’ by creating clean, considered project outcomes that prioritize the harmony between colour, shape and white space. In addition, being a media graduate has allowed me to think more about the contexts and audiences of the designs I create, to discern what would best accommodate client needs.

"To the Loneliest Generation,"

“To the Loneliest Generation,” is my activation campaign, inspired by the claim that ‘Gen Z’ is the loneliest generation. In identifying Gen Z’s addiction to social media, despite the inability to facilitate the deeper connections so sought after, the ‘main event’ of the campaign was to be a social event that would otherwise encourage in-person interactions and genuine conversations. In following current trends, the design direction for the posters, flyers and merchandising was inspired by the retro style of recent music media; using graphic elements, varied text, and provoking writing to capture attention.

Clement Meadmore: "Fluid Steel"

‘Fluid Steel’ is a theoretical exhibition to celebrate the works of designer-artist, Clement Meadmore, known for his sculptures that ‘transcend geometry’; characterized by a fusion of Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism. The exhibition’s identity makes use of the forms that Meadmore found to communicate 'more than their physical shapes', encompassing the twisting rectangular forms of the sculptures, through winding outlines and block text.

How to: VCE Japanese

How to: VCE Japanese is a publication designed for students in years 11 and 12 undertaking Japanese in VCE. Aiming to assist in understanding the expectations of covered content throughout the school year, the book is inspired by minimalist Japanese graphic design, and uses a balance of bold colours, illustrations and white space to convey information for aesthetic comprehension, in comparison to the monochromatic, dry layout of typical study design documents.
