Repurposing vacant buildings in Melbourne’s Central Business District offers an opportunity to transform the area through adaptive reuse strategies. By converting unoccupied office spaces into housing designed for multigenerational families and senior residents, the project aims to diversify the types of accommodation within the development. As such, flexible unit configurations allow senior apartments to be readily transformed into studio apartments suitable for students or single-occupant seniors to meet evolving housing needs.
