This studio will design and build prototype structures and landscapes that improve the quality and connectivity of Southern Brown Bandicoot habitat within the region of the previous Great Swamp. At the same time as designing for this endangered species, we will be investigating and addressing opportunities for improving flood resilience, waterway health, access to water and recreational opportunities within a complex and layered post-industrial environment. Issues of improving regional biodiversity, maintaining food production capacity, economic viability and climate change/ sea-level rise adaptation will all input into a rich and highly collaborative design process.
