Our design aims to help support the native Southern Brown Bandicoots in Koo Wee Rup by reconnecting the divide created by the main drain and dangerous road. We have designed and are building a bridge that floats across the drain for the bandicoots to use to cross to either side. It also is designed to fail in the event of a flood, allowing debris and flood waters to pass by unrestricted. Ultimately our design takes into account the needs of the bandicoots primarily as our clients.

Our first test of the bridge on site was a success, and now all that remained was to construct the remaining portions and install them on site.
