Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2024

Hi! I am Mavis. From the bustling streets of Hong Kong to the creative city of Melbourne has shaped the way I experience and observe the world around me. I am interested in communicating my ideas visually through brand identity, illustrations, photography, typography, and needle felting. Through these 3 years as a design student, I have learnt that being a designer is not about perfection; rather, it is a never-ending road of learning and adapting new skills. Feel free to visit my website to see more, I hope my designs will add a bit of wonder and joy to your everyday lives!

Lost & Found - Campaign

The Lost & Found campaign is dedicated to bringing mental health support directly to communities, fostering an environment of connection, understanding, and care. Through the mobile support tuck and other activities, the goal is to cultivate spaces where individuals feel empowered to reach out, share, and support one another.

Lost & Found - Promotional Brochure

The promotional Brochure is a 8 page short story that sheds light to the often invisible experience of loneliness. Through simple images, this story invites readers to reflect on what loneliness may feel like to different people and encourages them to take action and reach out to the people around them.

Lost & Found- Mobile Service Truck

The Lost & Found mobile support truck offers a welcoming space where community members can access essential mental health services like professional counselling. Participants would also be able to engage in hands-on crafting activities and engage in conversation, which is an opportunity to make new and meaningful connections.

Design Research Kit

With the world becoming lonelier than ever, this design research kit seeks to understand how individuals navigate their social connections and explores the complex feelings of loneliness in today’s society by surveying people from different walks of life. Through different questions, the DRK encourages participants to reflect on their emotional experiences by drawing or writing about their feelings related to their social lives.

1 2 3 BENGO !

1 2 3 BENGO! is a game that teaches young children healthy eating habits through play. It is a matching game where children match the food on the card to the toy and assemble their very own bento. Since the target audience is quite young, the instruction is conveyed through visual imagery on the bento box.
