Hi! I’m Teagan, a Communication designer with a background in Marketing. I’m passionate about identity design where creativity meets purpose. I design with intention, making decisions so every element has meaning. I enjoy developing brand identities through logo, UI/UX, and print design. I love experimenting with mixed media in publications to craft playful yet polished outcomes.
Disconnect Connect campaigns for young people to ‘disconnect’ from their devices and ‘connect’ with each other; aiming to spark conversation to minimise detrimental parasocial relationships through a day festival branding. The second is an Exhibition identity for Mirka Mora complementary to her whimsical creations.
Disconnect Connect Poster Series
A series of posters designed to advertise the day event, aiming to engage the public by efficiently contextualising the event through evocative imagery and essential information. The posters utilise a vibrant colour scheme and a dynamic layout to capture attention, with a QR code that links directly to a micro-site for further details.
Disconnect Connect Merchandise
The event identity extends across supporting outcomes, including tote bags and tickets, with a focus on creating consistent yet bold applications that resonate with a youth demographic.
Disconnect Connect Micro-Site
An interactive Figma prototype that delivers essential information about the event. To engage and reassure hesitant audiences, the prototype features personal accounts from past attendees, adding a human touch. An 'About Us' tab addresses key questions about the event and explains the purpose behind Disconnect Connect.
A folded invitation that uses curiosity and mystery, echoing Mora’s unexpected characters. As the invite unfolds, it reveals a fish tail that transforms into a mermaid. The panels are used to display key information and imagery, creating an engaging experience for recipients.
Extensive Bodies Postcards
Series layers Mora’s signature and her hand painted sculptures. The controlled colour palette created bold outcomes where the art remains the focal point.
Disconnect Connect Gallery Flags
Combines elements of the exhibition identity to celebrate Mora’s art on a large format. A cropped mermaid sculpture appears to ‘swim’ through the composition, while a scaled-up painting serves as a vibrant backdrop, highlighting the exhibition dates and capturing her distinctive style.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
