Hi, I’m Yunkyung Lee, a communication designer with a passion for creating meaningful, people-centered design. My focus lies in UX/UI, branding, and 3D modeling. The Activation Studio project, “Can’t Mistakey If Not Awakey“ is a campaign that promotes the importance of sleep for university students, combining digital and physical applications to engage and connect with the audience. This project has deepened my commitment to design that not only captivates visually but also fulfills its purpose.

Eepy Mobile App Design

For this sleep awareness campaign, an app called "Eepy" has been designed to encourage students to get more sleep in a fun and engaging way. Rather than adding pressure, the app fosters friendly competition among friends, making sleep tracking and improvement an enjoyable experience. Users can exchange tips for better rest and discuss effective strategies, adding a social, real-life element that promotes healthy sleep habits.

Eepy Billboard

To support the Eepy mobile app, the billboard is designed to capture students’ attention. It features the humorous quote, “Can’t Mistakey If Not Awakey,” set against a dark background for strong contrast. A rectangular section displays a QR code, cleverly designed to resemble my sheep character using it as a blanket, making the concept fun and instantly recognizable.

Eepy Merchandise

The merchandise features the sheep character that runs throughout the project. One item is a pillowcase designed to make users blend in with the flock while lying down, and an eye mask adorned with playful sheep jumping across it, accompanied by the phrase “Counting in Progress.” To enhance relaxation, room spray was designed with a soothing scent to promote restful sleep.

Eepy Night Lamp

3D modeling skills were applied to create a night lamp shaped like a sheep as part of the merchandise, adding a charming touch to any cozy bedtime ambiance.

Design Research Kit

"How Many Sheeps to Sleep" is a Design Research Kit survey that explores university students' sleep habits. It examines students' perceptions of their sleep quality and identifies key factors that disrupt a good night’s rest. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of sleep for university students’ mental and physical well-being.

Infographic Poster

For the infographic, five key questions were chosen to highlight the reality of students frequently prioritizing tasks over sleep, often due to personal or academic demands. Some responses were particularly surprising—such as one student who went 96 hours without sleep—and most of these extreme cases were linked to university pressures.
