Industrial design allows me to merge my creativity with functionality in a tangible way. Creating opportunities to explore user interaction and building my empathy skills with various users. It also allows me to blend my imagination and problem-solving to find innovative solutions.

One in 20 people are diagnosed with sensory processing disorder, which means they have a low threshold for tactile input. The Adieu seam cover solves the irritation caused by seams in clothes and is accompanied by a refillable adhesive tape with a soft surface texture.

Ideation

Throughout my ideation of sketches it inspired future iterations and prototypes to develop. These sketches lead to my prototypes that validated the form and size of the product.

Prototyping

Every iteration was followed by user feedback to improve the final codesigned outcome. This was crucial when defining a balance of form that suits people from lower to higher percentile.

Colour Material Finish

This product is injection moulded ABS plastic with a VDI 3600 #24 satin finish.

Goodbye Discomfort, Hello Adieu
