The Kokatha Cultural Centre reimagines a once-neglected site that was previously barricaded and used for target practice. The circular design reflects indigenous teachings of autonomy and interconnectedness, while seven passages lead towards the central space, referencing the Seven Sisters Dreaming Story that's integral to the site. At its heart, the sacred tree is protected and honoured as a place of reflection and ceremony. This centre restores respect back into the site, transforming it into a space where culture, storytelling, and Country unite in balance and reverence.
