I’m Bridgette, a communication designer with a passion for how design can positively impact people’s daily lives and solve real-world problems. My practice focuses on structuring the design process through meaning-making, sense-making, and world-making, allowing ideas to grow into purposeful and thoughtful outcomes.

I’m drawn to the artistic details within design and love combining creativity with research-driven and collaborative approaches to create work that is both visually engaging and socially impactful. My process is guided by curiosity, empathy, and a belief that design has the power to shape how we experience and understand the world around us.

Rip Rescue: Learning Tool

Rip Rescue is an engaging learning tool that teaches children aged 5 to 7 how to identify, avoid, and escape dangerous rip currents, the leading coastal swimming hazard in Australia. Using laminated Teacher’s Resource Cards and a portable beach scene tapestry, children locate and label the rip using felt arrows, flags, and words like “ESCAPE” and “RIP.” This hands-on, movement-based activity encourages tactile and kinesthetic learning, helping children understand beach safety through play and active participation.

Level the Field - Design Research Kit

The Level the Field Design Research Kit (DRK) centres on the theme of female sport representation in Australian Media, aiming to address the inequality women still face in sport and inspire the next generation of athletes. This hands-on kit uses a visual strategy incorporating Australian sports colours and imagery, featuring elements such as Australian female athlete cards and illustrations, prompting participants to reflect on their own support and consumption of women's sport media.

Level the Field - Activation

Based on my DRK findings, the key activation is a dynamic website portal designed as the central destination for Australian women’s sports. It brings together news, updates, and practical ways for users to support female athletes through live-stream links, ticket purchases, and merchandise options.

Level the Field - Infographic

The infographic was created using Illustrator to represent the data collected during the Design Research Kit (DRK) process. It highlights the key qualitative and quantitative statistics found, utilizing the visual element of sports balls to represent the results.

MADA NOW Showreel

This short showreel highlights my motion design skills by presenting a selection of my favourite communication design projects completed during my Bachelor of Design. It showcases my ability to work across various Adobe platforms and create diverse design outcomes, each with its own unique elements.
