This project envisions future living in response to rising sea levels, focusing on Venice. Through biodesign and speculative design, it examines the tension between natural and artificial systems and how communities might adapt over the next century. The outcome proposes an underwater dome supported by ecological and digital systems, with considerations for energy, food, waste, circulation, and wellbeing. My sensory VR Room recreates global landscapes to offer escapism and belonging, communicated through atmospheric collages.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
