It reimagines a closed-loop ecosystem where discarded organic matter, such as food, human waste, and synthetic materials like plastics are repurposed to sustain life. Situated underwater, this system explores the potential for a sustainable future habitat. In anticipation of an uncertain future where natural light may be scarce, The Living Orbit adapts by cultivating low-light food sources, such as mushrooms. Within the dome, autonomous drones are employed to monitor and harvest crops, demonstrating an advanced integration of ecological design.
