Due to the worsening climate, the air in the outside world has become filled with spores, making it impossible to breathe. As a result, people built the Mycelium Ark, a shelter made of mycelium. The Rest Core forms the innermost layer of the Mycelium Ark, serving as the main living and resting area for its inhabitants. Here, people construct compact sleeping pods that provide both privacy and comfort. The area also includes zones for communication, exercise, and relaxation, helping maintain both physical and mental health even in apocalyptic conditions. Human waste is absorbed by the mycelium through the sleeping pods, keeping the shelter clean, sustainable, and self-sufficient.

Mycelium Ark

Our project is a mycelium-based shelter built in response to the worsening climate. As the atmosphere becomes filled with spores, the air outside is no longer breathable. To survive, people have constructed the Mycelium Ark, a shelter entirely made of mycelium.

Inside the shelter, various essential facilities are organized into three main zones: the living area, the robot control area, and the cultivation area
