This project imagines a floating mycelium island grown from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Engineered fungi consume plastic waste to form a living structure that shelters communities displaced by rising seas. A central fog catcher gathers water for farming and daily use, while mycelium and recycled plastic create a regenerative habitat. Through spiral nets and rope-pull systems, it links human life with natural cycles, symbolising resilience and adaptation in a changing world.
