Hi, I’m Nicole Elmasry, I work in architecture and design, creating immersive spatial experiences that connect people and place. My work explores material, colour, and form through playful experimentation and iterative problem-solving. I’m interested in how ideas can unfold into real, lived environments that invite curiosity and encourage interaction. This portfolio reflects that process-driven approach, hands-on, exploratory, and always evolving.
Symbiotic Bridge: Breathing the Future
Set in Melbourne’s CBD in the year 2100, this vision reimagines an urban bridge as a living ecosystem. The structure integrates genetically modified golden orb weavers and snake plants to purify the air and capture microplastics. Layered greenery, light play, and organic forms create a serene yet futuristic atmosphere that merges city life with environmental restoration.
Weaving Nature and Motion
This detailed render highlights the bridge’s intertwining foliage and sculptural framework. The woven greenery forms natural canopies that filter sunlight while creating patterns of shadow and light. Beneath, Melbourne’s transit lines symbolise movement and progress, blending nature and technology in one harmonious vision.
Human Interaction Scene
In this render, people interact with the revitalised bridge as a shared, breathable space. Pathways lined with snake plants and water elements enhance air quality and reflection. The structure’s living canopy invites pause and movement, reshaping how public infrastructure nurtures both environment and community.
Video Render - Spatial Experience
This video explores the spatial experience of the bridge, capturing the dynamic interplay of light, sound, and organic texture. The viewer moves through a space where architecture and biology coexist, symbolising a hopeful future where urban design actively heals the planet.
This design explores adaptable townhouse models responding to future housing needs. Each dwelling prioritises connection through shared communal garden and flexible spaces that can evolve with residents’ lifestyles. The concept encourages sustainable living while fostering a sense of belonging and community.
Adaptive Housing - Community Space
This image captures a vibrant communal space where residents gather and interact within a flexible, green environment. Designed to encourage connection, the shared garden integrates natural elements that promote wellbeing and social engagement. The project emphasises adaptable, sustainable living where architecture nurtures both people and the planet.
