Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2025

I am a designer exploring the emotional potential of space, light, and material.
My work moves between architecture and narrative — creating moments that invite reflection, play, and quiet connection.
I am interested in how design can hold memory and imagination, turning everyday forms into poetic experiences.

Alice in Wonderland

This work reimagines the classic tale through a spatial and narrative lens. Using layered paper structures and subtle lighting, it creates a miniature world that captures the moment of Alice’s descent into the unknown. The composition invites viewers to look closer — to step into a fragile landscape where light becomes emotion and shadow suggests mystery.

Illumination House

This project explores illumination as a metaphor for creativity and reflection. Designed for artist Cai Guo-Qiang, the studio combines light, cotton, and cardboard to create a poetic resting space for fireflies — symbols of inspiration that flicker and fade. A floating cloud connects earth and sky, suggesting that illumination is both a physical and emotional act of imagination.

Crocon

This project explores movement and structure through a hand-crafted cardboard creature. Inspired by natural anatomy and mechanical systems, the design integrates rotating joints and layered textures to simulate life and motion. The creature’s form blurs the line between organic and constructed — suggesting that even simple materials can embody vitality, curiosity, and playfulness through spatial design.

Rainbow Pavilion

The work is primarily centered around the play of light. As sunlight filters through the stained glass, it casts colorful shadows on the floor, creating a mesmerizing dance of hues. The mirrored columns reflect these stained glass patterns, further enhancing the warm and joyful atmosphere, which gently soothes and relaxes people. This interplay of light and color imbues the space with a sense of tranquility and contentment, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its serene ambiance.

Adapthome

ADAPTHOME is an adaptable housing concept designed for flexible living. By introducing movable walls, residents can reconfigure layouts to meet changing needs while maintaining privacy and community. Inspired by limited resources, the design minimizes renovation and maximizes spatial efficiency. A shared cross-shaped kitchen connects units of varying heights, ensuring accessibility and sustainability. Together, these modular homes form a dynamic, inclusive micro-community.

The Last chapel

It is a speculative architectural system merging biotechnology and architecture to redefine the boundary between life, care, and creation. The structure includes a Transition Lounge, Surgery Unit, Organ Farm, and BioMemory Hall — each representing a phase of transformation. The Lounge stabilises body and mind before surgery; the Surgery Unit enables organ transplantation and reconstruction; the Organ Farm cultivates tissues to sustain biological growth. The Exhibition Area opens the process to the public, turning regeneration into shared reflection. Together, these spaces form a narrative of renewal, where architecture, technology, and ethics converge to imagine the future of life.
