Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2025

Divyanshi Sharma is an emerging curator and art history student at Monash University whose practice explores the intersections of memory, temporality, and emotional resonance within contemporary exhibition making. Through reflective and research led approaches, I investigate how curating can transform intimate experiences into shared spaces of connection. My recent exhibition, What Remains, Returns in the Intermission Gallery examined the delicate balance between absence and presence through the work of emerging artist Annabel Scott, revealing how fleeting moments can be translated into lasting sensory experiences.

What Remains, Returns.

What Remains, Returns talks about a subtle reflection on the essence of memory and exploring how it persists, transforms, and connects with our current experience. This exhibition displays photographs, video, and ceramics by Melbourne artist, Annabel Scott, produced during her journey across Europe. These artworks have three interconnected concepts- absence, presence, and temporality and talks about the emotional outlook of experiencing distance from home for the first time, reflecting on themes of isolation, connection, and the passage of time.It raises thought about what stays after a moment fades away and what quietly reemerges when we recall.
