Attending sessions on Adaptation to Climate Change, Loss & Damage
A breakthrough agreement that was reached at COP27 was the Loss and Damage Fund for vulnerable countries and much work is needed to understand how we address the impacts on communities whose lives and livelihoods are being affected by the very worst impacts of climate change. This is a focal issue for SB58 and COP28 later this year.
The Monash delegation had the opportunity to meet leaders working in the area of ‘Adaptation to Climate Change’ including UNFCCC Adaptation Committee Member Alice Gustard, who spoke on the importance of monitoring and evaluation.
