Monash participation

Monash participation at Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB58)

Monash University helped lead a series of workshops at SB58 as part of the Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication and Education Project, an ambitious international research partnership dedicated to enhancing global climate literacy and action. The workshops brought together government and youth representatives from around the world to focus on quality climate change education at the national and global level, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting of global indicators.

Monash’s climate action leadership in Australia and Asia Pacific in the areas of research, community engagement and climate literacy forms the backbone of our presence at these global climate action events where we have the opportunity to network and share our knowledge with important stakeholders in
the climate action dialogue, including representatives from other globally recognised educational institutions, governments, youth platforms and Indigenous leaders from vulnerable communities across the world that are at the frontline of the climate crisis.
