Director of the NDC, Professor Chris Langmead joined hundreds of delegates at the 2024 AusBiotech annual meeting in Melbourne on Friday 1 November at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Chris moderated a session entitled ‘Psychedelics in psychiatric disorders: Where are we now and where to next?’

An expert panel of Sharon Charles (ProPharma), Professor Robyn Langham (Therapeutics Goods Administration), Professor Suresh Sundram (Monash University) and Roy Gustini (Cortexa) made nuanced and considered points about engaging and listening to regulators, clinical trial design with functional unblinding, and the role of adjunctive psychotherapy in MDMA and other psychedelic treatments.
