Psychedelic science is moving fast. Clinical trials are progressing, regulatory frameworks are expanding, and new models of therapy and implementation are being tested in real-world settings. The field is no longer emerging. It is arriving.

Australia is at the centre of this shift. In 2020, Monash University established the country's first dedicated psychedelic research lab. In 2023, the Therapeutic Goods Administration created a regulated pathway for authorised psychiatrists to prescribe MDMA and psilocybin, making Australia one of the first countries to formalise clinical access to psychedelic-assisted therapy outside of clinical trials.

CAPS27 builds on that foundation, and invites you to a dynamic forum for researchers, clinicians, policymakers, ethicists, cultural scholars, educators, industry leaders, health-sector decision-makers, and funders, to meet, share evidence, build collaborations, and advance the field together.

CAPS27 will feature an open abstract submission programme. Abstract submissions will be considered for talks, symposia, and posters. More details about CAPS27 soon!

Convened by Monash University's Clinical Psychedelic Lab (Department of Psychiatry) and the Monash psychedelic research community.
