CAPS27 features an open abstract submission program. We invite researchers, clinicians, and scholars from across the region and beyond to share their work.
Key dates
- Abstract submissions open — Friday 7 August 2026
- Abstract submission close — Friday 18 September 2026
- Authors notified of acceptance — Friday 16 October 2026
- Author confirmation of participation closes — Monday 2 November 2026
The submission window is short by design. Speaker spots are limited, and we close and review abstracts early so acceptances are confirmed well before early-bird registration ends to give accepted presenters time to book at the best rate.
Talk, symposium or poster submission
Submissions will be considered for:
- Talks (either 20min +5min Q&A, or 12min +3min) – individual presentations of new research or insight.
- Symposia (50min +10min Q&A) – themed sessions bringing together multiple speakers around a topic.
- Posters – visual presentations with dedicated networking sessions.
Abstracts were welcomed across all four conference themes: Substrate, Therapeutics, Society, and Meaning.
Accepted presenters will be able to register with a discounted presenter ticket ($390 AUD) and are eligible to apply for a limited number of travel grants. Instructions for both will be sent with the acceptance notification.
Abstract submissions are now closed and review is underway.
Workshop submissions
We also welcome submissions to deliver a full or half day workshop on the 23rd Feb 2027. Submissions for workshops are completed via this dedicated submission button below, and not the abstract portal.
