We have been very impressed with Monash interns. They have had a very professional and positive work attitude and are easy to work with. They are very switched on and willing to learn and share their experiences.
How do Monash interns contribute to SMC?
We have had a number of interns join our team, who have contributed enormously to our daily work including administrative tasks, marketing campaigns, production of videos and digital collaterals, and international social media ideas. It has been especially beneficial having international student interns, as they have been able to contribute cultural insights and language competence towards our international marketing efforts. We have also been able to learn from them, their personal and professional experience and their student insights are invaluable to our team.
What are some of the benefits of hosting interns?
There are many different benefits to hosting student interns. It is great to engage with the student community and give internship opportunities to students so they can develop work experience and connect with the wider university areas. It is fantastic for our team, who usually work in the prospective student area, to connect with current students and learn from them and their experiences both personally and professionally. From a professional development perspective, it enables our team members to obtain and grow managerial skills. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to work with such dedicated interns across our projects and campaigns, who can bring the student perspective, to help us to continue to understand our audiences.
