Digital qualifications and credentials
Many Monash students can now provide digital versions of official documents, through the My eQuals portal.
My eQuals is being adopted by 45 of Australia and New Zealand’s 47 universities. This means that you’ll soon be receiving qualifications from across Australia and New Zealand – all in the one portal.
As the education sector incorporates digital academic records (transcripts) and graduation documents, you may need to review your processes to take advantage of the benefits certified online documents provide.
Students and graduates can still provide hardcopy documents if this best suits your processes, but please allow extra time for ordering, printing and posting.
Visit the My eQuals website.

How secure are digital documents?
Certified digital documents viewed in My eQuals gives you peace of mind by greatly reducing opportunities for fraudulent documents. This also saves you time as at the click of a button you can view verified credentials and trust that you’re hiring an authentic Monash graduate.
My eQuals documents are authentic, tamper-evident, and legally valid by utilising advanced security and operational procedures. The underlying systems have been independently tested by security experts and documents contain digital signatures that meet the legal standards set by the European Union for authentic electronic documents. This standard exceeds requirements in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Monash is one of the first Australian universities to join international institutions already using this trusted system. These include Cambridge University, The University of Manchester and the University of Kent.
Certified documents' authenticity is guaranteed when accessed online through the My eQuals portal. While students and graduates have access to view documents, only the issuing university can upload or modify them.

How do I access digital documents?
On request, students and graduates can share a link with you to view their official Monash documents in My eQuals, from anywhere in the world.
Your recruitment staff may wish to familiarise themselves with digital documents and My eQuals to streamline your recruitment process.
Which students or graduates have digital versions?
From 19 April this year, all current Monash University students will have access to a certified digital version of their academic record (transcript).
Students who graduate from 2017 onwards can provide you with certified digital copies of:
- award certificates (testamurs)
- academic records (transcripts)
- Australian Higher Education Statements (AHEGS).
Monash qualifications received before May 2017 may become digitised over time. We’re working to give as many Monash graduates as possible access to secure digital versions.
