Consortium of Inclusive Teacher Education and Development (C.I.T.E.D)

C.I.T.E.D.

International collaboration between academics, teacher educators and disability advocates to promote inclusive education for all learners.

The Consortium of Inclusive Teacher Education and Development (CITED) is a group of academics, teacher educators, researchers and disability advocates from different countries who are passionate about inclusive education for all learners.

We work in partnership with key stakeholders — such as educators, policy-makers, families, students and our colleagues in tertiary education. This allows us to better understand the barriers that hinder the learning and full participation of students with diverse abilities across different contexts.

We work to find solutions to complex challenges that learners face in different contexts. We develop strategies and resources for teachers that would enable them to educate all learners inclusively.

  • Our belief

We believe that teacher education plays a significant role in preparing school educators who can create quality learning opportunities for all learners.

  • Our vision

Our goal to improve teacher education and to make inclusive education possible and sustainable.
