Our lab is focused on the discovery of novel antibiotics, anticancer agents and other bioactive natural products from bacteria. We use a combination of molecular genetics, enzymology, structural biology, organic synthesis and analytical chemistry to elucidate the biosynthetic pathways and mechanisms of action of the molecules we discover. Knowledge generated by the biosynthetic studies is exploited for pathway engineering to create novel natural product analogues with enhanced therapeutic potential.
We are committed to excellence in research.
We're always interested in collaborating with bright and motivated researchers, clinicians and industry. Whether you want to research, study or partner with us to accelerate our discoveries, find out about the work we do.
