We welcome enquiries from prospective Honours students, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, fellowship applicants, senior researchers, collaborators, industry partners and philanthropic supporters.
Current and emerging research areas include:
- lysosomal nutrient sensing and mTORC1 signalling
- cholesterol-sensing membrane proteins and lysosomal GPCR biology
- cytokine receptor signalling and next-generation anti-inflammatory biologics
- AI-enabled protein design and engineered protein therapeutics
- structural biology of cancer and immune signalling complexes
For high-calibre applicants, please send a CV and brief cover letter outlining your research interests and relevant experience to Professor Andrew Ellisdon.

Our LYCHOS research was selected for Monash University’s inaugural Top Ten Discoveries and Impacts Showcase, recognising it as one of the University’s standout research achievements of 2025. This work revealed LYCHOS/GPR155 as a cholesterol-responsive lysosomal protein and promising therapeutic target, highlighting how structural biology can uncover new mechanisms of nutrient sensing, metabolism and disease.
