Dr Fayuan Huang wins Student Presentation Award

We are thrilled to share that our former student, now a Research Fellow in our SPDC Hub, Dr Fayuan Huang, has been awarded the Student Presentation Award at the 9th Asian Pacific Congress on Computational Mechanics / 7th Australasian Conference on Computational Mechanics (APCOM–ACCM 2025) for his presentation "CFD-DEM study of particle triboelectrification in pneumatic conveying".

Part of this work has been published in two papers in Powder Technology and Applied Mathematical Modelling. Another submission to a JCR Q1 journal has been revised and resubmitted. The manuscript, titled "CFD-DEM investigation and analysis of non-spherical particles tribocharging in a horizontal-bend-vertical pipe" is authored by Fayuan Huang, Ruiping Zou, Aibing Yu, Tim Evans, Sunny Song, Shibo Kuang.

This recognition highlights not only his outstanding research contribution but also his dedication to advancing the field of computational mechanics among leading experts across the Asia‑Pacific region.

A huge congratulations to Fayuan for this exceptional accomplishment!
