Let's Chat
Make friends, gain confidence in your classes and learn about Australia in Let's Chat! Run by senior Monash students this is the perfect way to develop your Australian slang and understand more of what your lecturers and tutors are saying. Classes are every week through Zoom, and you can choose to join any session from Monday to Saturday. Let's Chat has two modules: Module 1 (for those who have been in Australia less than 6 months) and Module 2 (for those who have been in Australia for more than 6 months). Join us today to say hi! *Remember that all classes are listed in Melbourne time but you are welcome to join from anywhere in the world.

Online Academic English
Our online consultations enable you to get feedback on important language-related aspects of your work. Submit texts from different assignments, chapters or professional documents (e.g. resume). Our expert facilitators will provide feedback, and suggest online resources to help improve your writing. Book a 30 minutes Zoom consultation for face to face feedback (from week 9), or submit anytime online via Moodle for a more flexible option. Up to 8 consultations combined (Moodle or Zoom).
Online Academic English Workshops
Develop and improve your Academic reading and writing skills. Each of our online workshops contains a high quality interactive lesson with bonus resources and activities, which are relevant and targeted to support your academic language development. You can access the workshops in any order and at your own pace. You can revisit them as many times as you like. Access the online workshops through our English Connect Moodle page.
Global Professional Communication
Offering individual appointments via Zoom, this is the perfect way to get assistance for presentations, group work, pronunciation or spoken grammar. Email English Connect to be added to the next round of consultations, when you can choose a 30 minute appointment to talk to an expert facilitator. These consultations book out quickly, so make sure to select your time when you get the email!

PhD program
Would you like to meet other PhD students, work on your communication with your supervisor, explore how to work in intercultural teams or get some advice on academic English for your thesis? English Connect run sessions specifically for PhD students on all these topics, and the Building Strong Supervisor Relationships and Intercultural Engagement modules count for hours with Graduate Research. Log into our Moodle page and choose a module that suits you, then join at the right time using the Zoom link. We would love to see you!
