iSense Oakleigh - Smart Cities
This project was a collaboration between Monash City Council and Monash University to build a smart precinct underpinned by advanced sensing technologies and a data communication network. The network provides a connected platform to sense, collect and analyse relevant data to improve liveability for the community within the precinct. The sensors and its platform collect and fuse different data on mobility including parking, bicycles and pedestrians. Smart lighting, smart bins and smart water management sensors were explored. A cloud-based data collection platform and analysis was prototyped and deployed to manage these devices at Oakleigh precinct.
