Monash Art, Design and Architecture Student Exhibition 2022

Sharonne Berenstein

I chose to study design because that is where I felt most confident in exploring the creative side of my brain. I was excited that I was joining a design course at University. Over the past three years, I have learned various skills that I have practised and advanced. I mostly enjoyed 3D model making (handmade and digital). The Spatial Design course helped me understand space, and I plan to continue my studies in the future with architecture.

‘Bloom’

My project ‘Bloom’ explores the question “, why do kids want to grow up so quickly?” I have created an event which focuses on the life lessons of growing up in the form of play. This event allows kids to go outside with their family and friends, celebrate their youth, and transition into adulthood. Just like the saying ‘life is an obstacle course', the teens make their way through the physical one, which metaphorically guides them through their life in the future.
