Hi, my name is Vivian! I'm a communication designer with an interest in identity, branding, publication and editorial design. I study both communication design and business marketing and enjoy creating simple yet effective works. 'Let's Talk Money' is a campaign about money conversations. This campaign reaches a wide range of people, opening them up to unfamiliar or uncomfortable conversations about money. This is an encouraging campaign that embraces healthy discusses to inspire and learn.

These posters are seen in several public spaces, such as this train station, capturing the attention of the general public. With these questions, groups are prompted to start discussions about money, sharing their perspectives, values and methods of money handling.

These cards are handed out to different grounds and individuals in public with no context. With these cards, the question prompts a discussion. This is then handed to the next group of strangers, creating a flow of conversations amongst the general public.

Let's Talk Money' - Design Research Kit

This was the beginning of the campaign. A survey in the form of a cheque book was handed out to people of different ages. In the survey was general questions about money. The purpose of this was to gain an understanding of how people value money, their personal experiences and challenges faced. From this, 'Let's Talk Money: A conversation' came to fruition.

When do we really pay with cash these days? Most of the time, people are paying with card or tapping with their phone. The conversation cards mimic the design of a bank card, a more accurate depiction of money we see today. This is another reflection of money, questioning what it has become and how far society has come from using cash.
