The Earth's surface, oceans and atmosphere are warming due to massive greenhouse gas emissions. Although the overall trend now is global warming, in a few years global warming will eventually lead to global cooling. Temperatures can be minus 60 or 70 degrees Celsius, or even lower. Such cold temperatures make it impossible for humans to live normally. In 100 years, human residences will be built underground. The thermal energy in the ground can keep indoors warm and protect people from the cold.

Underground Servival

This is a panoramic view of the underground dwelling.
The entire house is 20 meters above the ground and each floor is 4 meters high.

bottom view

The top of the entire house is a huge circular transparent glass roof, sunlight shines in through the roof, and there are channels on both sides. As materials, I used waterproof mortar, waterproof concrete, moisture-proof paint, membrane, etc. to form a moisture-proof layer around the building. Prevent houses from collapsing and deforming due to moisture.

interior details

The transparent dome is surrounded by an uncovered ring of double-layered insulating glass where the ice from outside accumulates.

Public area

In the middle of the glass, I added a heat-absorbing plate, which absorbs the sun's heat energy and accelerates the melting of the ice. The ice melts and passes through the filter layer to the reservoir at the bottom.

people activities

Below is a public area for activities, where people's basic activities are carried out. People can chat, walk, play games together. There is a central well in the middle from which people draw water every day.
