The Smaller Design Studio

In the current push to provide much needed density to Melbourne, a number of very large housing projects are being designed and built in a highly efficient way, but a smaller and more site-specific approach is an intriguing alternative. We will aim at a highly responsive approach to places and community, tapping into the unique local energies of Fitzroy North Village. Filling gaps, reusing and connecting, creating a new living part of the city, or revitalising a struggling one, the studio travels through all the scales of the city, from precinct planning to tactile details.
