Hi, I’m Yiwen Lyu. I’m a student majoring in Communication Design. I prefer designs that are practical and visually appealing. I’m interested in UI/UX design, brand identity.
My final project in the “Activation” studio gave me the opportunity to explore a series of processes from determining the theme to designing an event. “No Late Night” is an event that encourages students to quit the habit of staying up late, improve overall sleep quality, and develop healthier living habits.
This project taught me how to analyze problems from data and think about event design. In the future, I hope to continue to explore how design can influence and improve daily life through influential, user-centered solutions.
“No Late Night” — Mobile App (Moonie)
The "No Late Night" campaign aims to encourage students to break the habit of staying up late and improve their overall sleep quality. DRK data analysis found that despite getting enough sleep, students still felt tired, indicating that it is not the amount of sleep that matters, but when you sleep. The Moonie app, which aims to help users improve their sleep by setting sleep reminders, tracking sleep schedules, and providing challenges and rewards. These challenges can motivate users to stick to their goals. The app helps students avoid staying up late and maintain regular sleep patterns, improving overall health.
“No Late Night” — Poster Series 1
The "No Late Night" poster series 1 uses eye-catching and relevant images and text, such as red eyes, clocks, etc. to convey the idea of not staying up late and the damage it can do to your body. The purpose of the posters is to educate the audience and motivate them to take action.
“No Late Night” — Poster Series 2
The “No Late Night” Poster Series 2 displays the campaign’s message in bold, engaging fonts and comes with a QR code for social media (INS). These words capture common feelings associated with poor sleep habits, such as “Can’t wake up!”, “Why do we still feel tired?” and other impactful phrases designed to resonate and attract viewers to social media to learn more about and participate in our “No Late Nigh” campaign.
“No Late Night” — Social Media (INS)
The “No Late Night” social media campaign uses engaging content and images to emphasize the importance of getting enough sleep, going to bed early, and developing habits that improve long-term health, encouraging students to join the campaign and make sleep a priority.
