DEAN'S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2026

The Dean’s Awards for Excellence are recognition of the outstanding efforts of our academic and professional staff in improving the human condition through education, research and professional services. We encourage faculty staff from all our schools, institutes, centres and programs to recognise innovation, achievement and impact and seek recognition through these awards.

It’s thanks to our staff that our Faculty’s reputation continued to strengthen in 2026. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026,  Monash University was ranked 26th globally for Life Sciences and Medicine, 33rd globally for Medicine and equal 19th for Nursing. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, Medical and Health rose four places to equal 27th globally and second in Australia, and in the ShanghaiRankings Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2026, Nursing soared to 7th globally and Public Health is 19th. These rankings reflect the quality and impact of the work taking place across the faculty.

Behind every ranking, publication, new course, research partnership and student success are teams of academic and professional staff. These achievements depend on people who lead, innovate and collaborate, as well as those whose expertise and commitment make that work possible every day.

That collective excellence is what makes Monash Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences exceptional - and it is what we recognise and celebrate with these awards. Thank you for your dedication, passion, and collaboration.
