The DMIRS Radiation Safety Team has demonstrated sustained excellence in strengthening radiation safety culture through the development of the DMIRS Radiation Safety Digital Hub. Over the past four years, the team has transformed fragmented paper-based processes into an integrated digital ecosystem supporting radiation safety governance, communication and compliance. The initiative established a centralised Radiation Safety Digital Hub, digitised the personal dosimetry lifecycle through the Personal Dosimeter Management App, implemented a Radiation Laboratory Induction App, and introduced automated workflows for personal dosimeter ordering, issue, return, reminders and incident reporting. These innovations have standardised radiation safety processes, strengthened compliance with Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) requirements, reduced administrative burden and improved support for students and staff. Through collaboration with ARPANSA, academic and professional staff the team has developed a scalable model for radiation safety governance that extends well beyond routine operational expectations.
