Dr Kim Johnston is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences, recognised for her leadership in inclusive education. Her work integrates psychological science with pedagogy to advance trauma-aware practices that promote wellbeing for students and educators. An advocate for social justice, she empowers individuals to recognise their own and others’ lived experiences as strengths. Her educational initiatives are collaborative, grounded in community and practice expertise, and designed to foster safer learning environments that build workforce capacity to support mental health. Through her educational leadership in areas such as lived experience co-design, she inspires students and educators to become agents of change in their lives, professions, and communities.
