Carlos is the Clinical Learning Resource Coordinator in the Department of Paramedicine and is widely recognised for his innovation in educational support across Paramedicine, the School of Primary and Allied Health Care, Monash Nursing and Midwifery, and the Monash Rural Health. Over the past two years, Carlos has transformed the department's practical examination process by designing and implementing the Monash University Paramedic Assessment Portal (MUPAP), an innovative digital assessment platform developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Technology. MUPAP has eliminated the need to print more than 600 four-page examination booklets each semester, reducing paper consumption, administrative workload and processing time while supporting the University's sustainability goals. The platform delivers immediate results, performance analytics and interactive student practice examinations with instant feedback. Designed for scalability, MUPAP can be readily adapted across the faculty. This initiative demonstrates Carlos's innovation, technical expertise and commitment to enhancing both the staff and student experience through practical, high-impact digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and support sustainable assessment practices.
