This intensive program allows them to obtain an entry to practice nursing degree, condensing studies into this challenging but extremely rewarding course. The course capitalises on the academic skills students developed in their previous studies.
Our course covers areas such as Indigenous health, communication, global health, law, ethics and leadership, safety in healthcare, mental health nursing, nursing practice and concepts, medication administration, clinical care, and more. Clinical placements are also a key element with students undertaking 800 hours over the two years.
Our student numbers generally stay steady to ensure we can provide the best education, with two intakes a year of approximately 70 students. In 2023 we had 322 in the course which is a slight increase on 2022.
