Digital Research Capability Catalogue - DRCC
Monash has a number of solutions to meet your specific research data requirements. Researchers are strongly encouraged to use these solutions to protect your research data and meet your obligations. The DRCC leads you through a number of questions about your situation to lead you to the right solution(s).
- Select research phase: In this step you can select whether you are at the funding, planning, actively using data or closing out phase of your research, this will then determine what scenarios are available to you
- What you need to do with your data: In this step you need to choose what use case you have for your data - do you want to store it, collect it, use high performance computing (HPC)?
- What is the Monash classification of your data: In this step you need to determine the classification of their research data. If you do not know, you can use the Research Data Classification Tool to assist.
- What size of data are you dealing with: In this step you choose the maximum size of data you will need to work with.
- Where data is stored: In this step you can choose if you have any restrictions on where data must be stored - i.e. it can be stored "Anywhere", must be stored in "Australia" or must be stored at "Monash"
- Who needs access to your data: In this step you can specify if you are the only person that requires access, or if other "Monash Researchers" require access or if you also require access for "External Collaborators"
Depending on your choices above, the resulting options will then be displayed You are then able to click on those options and compare up to four of them at a time in a comparison table which can also be printed for future reference.
