Hub Researchers speak at International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC) Australasian Regional Conference 2026

In May, Hub members made a significant contribution to the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC) Australasian Regional Conference, jointly hosted by St Peter's College and Prince Alfred College and attended by over 160 educators, researchers and leaders from across the region.
Naomi Pfitzner and Stephanie Wescott opened Day 2 as keynote speakers with The Algorithm in the Classroom — a research-driven exploration of boys, online communities and the rise of antisocial ideas, and the critical role educators can play in responding.
The Hub team also led two feature sessions:
- The manosphere and pathways to extremist worldviews — Alexandra Phelan, Sarah McCook and Steve Roberts
- Gendered behaviours in schools and building cultures of respect — Stephanie Wescott and Naomi Pfitzner
The team continued their partnership with St Peter's College and delivered a dedicated session for parents and carers on the manosphere and supporting young people to navigate their online worlds.
The team has produced an introductory guide to the manosphere and the impacts for young people, teachers and schools that you can access by clicking here.
Thank you to St Peter's College and Prince Alfred College for hosting such a vital conversation.
