Professor Guy Geltner, is leading a new project titled Inventorying ‘pre-modern’ manuscripts in Victorian public and private collections project.
The Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, in partnership with the Jewish Holocaust Centre, is hosting the Jan Randa Aftermath Series: The Precariousness of Holocaust Memory.
Carlo Rindi Nuzzolo, researcher at the Centre for Ancient Cultures, Monash University, was granted a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Global Fellowship. He will join the Department of Near Eastern Studies (NES) in Berkeley for two years, and then will be hosted for another year at the Institute of Heritage Science in Italy (ISPC) of the National Research Council of Italy. The funding programme is highly-competitive and is part of the European Union Framework to foster excellence in research and innovation, encouraging mobility outside Europe.
Congratulations to Dr Paul Biegler, who has been named as a finalist in this year’s Australian Museum Eureka Prizes – the nation’s top science awards - for his longform article exploring a new device to create embryo-like structures.
