Our course has been designed with industry leaders to ensure graduates are at the forefront of learning design with highly transferable skills, including project management, leadership, critical thinking and data-driven decision-making.

Industry experience

Work-integrated learning  (WIL)

This course requires you to undertake off-campus industry experience. Industry experience, also known as work-integrated learning (WIL), provides you with opportunities to integrate academic learning with workplace experience.

Through WIL, there will be the opportunity to apply skills and respond to contemporary and future challenges with learning design techniques, ensuring you're job-ready.

The Faculty of Education’s Professional Experience Team will source industry-based placements for Bachelor of Learning Design and Technology students. Students in the Melbourne area can access placements in various workplace settings or virtually. For those students outside of Melbourne, we'll guide you to local opportunities.

An application and interview will be part of the process to ensure a meaningful placement experience.

Monash Innovation Guarantee (MIG)

You can also participate in the Monash Innovation Guarantee (MIG) program as an elective, working with other students to deliver solutions for an industry partner. No applications, interviews, or prior experience needed.
