Existing energy consumption systems rely on >80% of fossil fuel, resulting not only the energy crisis, but also bring tremendous pressure on the environment. In the context of sustainable development, the use of renewable energy as an alternative to fossil fuels is an inevitable choice. Laboratory for Energy & Environmental Conservation (LEEC) of Dr Baiqian Dai aims at technologies that can maximize the value of natural resources, utilize renewable energy, and minimize the impact on the environment. LEEC mainly undertakes fundamental and generic research in collaboration with industry, other research centres and laboratories, and universities. within a wide spectrum of fundamental mechanism studies, bench-scale discovery, pilot process development, task-specific simulation and demonstrations. Building a clean, low-carbon, safe, efficient and green sustainable energy conversion system.
Joining the Lab
Interested scientists and engineers from a wide range of disciplines are very welcome to get in touch. The LEEC provides training for postgraduate students (PhD and MSc) from chemical, thermal/power and environment engineering and related degrees.
