Pilot Control Centre

The Control Centre sits at the heart of an industrial process, enabling operators and engineers to access, monitor, control and optimise the process in real time. Our Engineering Student Pilot Plant will feature a dedicated, accessible control centre, and our Student Team will also have remote access to the physical system from their Team office.

The Control Centre will have workstations that connect directly to the physical equipment, mimicking the way in which industrial processes are monitored and controlled and giving users an authentic experience.

The Pilot Control Centre will provide oversight of the physical equipment by the control room operators, and encourage communication between the plant operators and the control room operators.

In time, the Pilot Control Centre will be expanded to include the Digital Twin Studio, which will host a digital mimic of the physical process and can be used for online optimisation, as well as offline troubleshooting, projects, edge case simulations, and training.
