We have brought together an interdisciplinary working and steering group from across the University that incorporates: clinical, IT, pharmacy, robotics, biomedical engineering, bioethics, planetary health and design.
Future Healthcare leverages the University’s global expertise in clinical and allied health, design, pharmacy, health economics, behaviour change, technology design and development, data and planetary health. This expertise is strengthened through the Monash Institute for Medical Engineering (MIME), Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI) and Monash Bioethics Centre, our implementation experience in women’s health, cardiovascular health and public health and in launching Australia’s only dedicated Heart Hospital.
The Steering Group is composed of senior research leaders from various faculties and expertise areas who support strategic decisions about the direction of Future Healthcare. The group helps to facilitate different levels of integration - including amongst aligned researchers within faculties, within the multidisciplinary nodes/pillars, and across the pillars of the program.
The Future Healthcare Working Group is composed of Monash University academics and researchers across Design, Robotics, Ethics, IT, Pharmacy, Business, Architecture, Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, Behaviour Change and Systems Thinking. Working Group members work collaboratively, can think strategically and entrepreneurially, including engaging with external stakeholders and partners. They commit time to the day-to-day running of Future Healthcare.
Advisory Group
The Advisory Group is composed of Deans, and/ or Institute leaders or their nominees in addition to key industry and healthcare representatives. They provide oversight across all thematic nodes/ pillars.
PhD Students
